I. Details of the event/activity


I completed an online course titled "CSS & JavaScript - Certification Course for Beginners" on May 24, 2024. This course was offered by UDEMY and had a duration of three hours. Despite its short length, the course included a hands-on project that helped reinforce the concepts taught. The course provided a detailed overview of coding fundamentals using CSS and JavaScript, covering topics such as CSS styling, responsive design, and integrating JavaScript for dynamic functionality.


II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings):

The course gave me a solid understanding of how to use CSS and JavaScript to enhance web pages. In the CSS section, I learned about working with IDs, classes, and divisions, as well as styling text, images, and links. I also learned about CSS properties such as borders, backgrounds, and element positioning techniques for responsive layouts. The JavaScript section introduced me to variables, operators, objects, and data types. I also explored functions, arrays, loops, and events, which are crucial for adding dynamic elements to web pages. The project-based approach helped me apply these concepts in a practical setting.



III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a

practical level (practical application of learning)


The knowledge from this course can be applied in various ways. I can use CSS to create visually appealing and responsive web pages by utilizing different styling techniques and positioning elements effectively. With JavaScript, I can add interactive features such as form validation, dynamic content updates, and user feedback on web pages. The course project, which involved creating a responsive web page with dynamic elements, gave me practical experience that I can use in my future web development projects. This will enhance the user experience on the websites I develop.




IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)


The course was well-organized and presented in a clear, concise manner. The instructor explained the concepts effectively, using practical examples to illustrate the points. The hands-on project was a great way to apply what I learned and solidify my understanding. The UDEMY platform was user-friendly, making it easy to follow along and complete the course.


V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities


My only concern was the time, so if i’ve given the time to make a suggestion i would suggest Extended Duration: Extending the course duration slightly to cover more advanced topics in both CSS and JavaScript would be beneficial for a deeper understanding.

Details of the event/activity I started May 29 and finished May 30, 2024, I completed an online course on Udemy about database migration using Oracle SQL Developer. The course covered how to move a database from Microsoft SQL Server to Oracle. It included topics like setting up a migration repository, connecting to the old database, checking the current database state, converting the database to Oracle, translating SQL objects, creating scripts for the new database, and moving data to Oracle. II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings): As a student, the course for me is informative but challenging. I also learned the importance of checking the current state of the database before starting the migration process, this is to avoid affecting what's in the live database.
